Location: This is a remote role overseeing WA/OR/AK; Ideal candidate will reside in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR 

Position Overview: The State Manager is a sales role responsible for the execution of our annual sales goals in their assigned territory through planning and development with the support of their Regional Manager supervisor.

This is a role that requires the ability to multi-task as you will be working with our distributor partners developing monthly plans and programs, training and working the markets with our distributor partners' sales teams, coaching and working with our PBI sales-team members and building relationships and selling to key retail and on-premise accounts. This is a role for someone who is a tenacious goal-oriented overachiever

Responsibilities/Essential Functions: 

• Relationship building


• Managing Distributors; goal setting, programming, tracking, follow-up


• Managing inventory, vintages, product rotation, and purchasing


• Attaining sales goals and objectives


• Distributor education and information; team meetings, GSM's and special events 


• Participate in weekly, monthly and tertile meetings and buisness reviews


• Train and coach PBI sales team


• Prepare and execute supplier market visits, dinners, tastings, and sales meetings


• Communicate sales updates, market conditions and any issues with Regional Manager weekly


• See top key retail and on-premise accounts monthly

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred


• 5 years of distributor or supplier experience


• Wine retail sales experience preferred


• A foundation of wine intelligence and the ability to educate others


• Competitive and Charismatic personality


• Strong communication, both written and verbal


• Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines


• Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere.


• High level of proficiency with Microsoft office


• Ability to lift 35 pounds


• Safe driving record


• Must be able to present in front of large groups of people.
