 **THIS POSITION WILL BE OPEN TO ALL EMPLOYEES CURRENTLY SERVING AS A STATION SUPERVISOR LEVEL I** 

Summary

We’re seeking a detail‑oriented, cool‑under‑pressure professional to coordinate real‑time emergency communications across NYC Transit. Working in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment, you’ll relay incidents to Police, FDNY, NYCT responders, district teams, and management-ensuring information is accurate, timely, and complete.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi‑channel incident reporting 
    • Use SixWire, email, and landline to deliver concise, real‑time alerts.
    • Provide prompt follow‑up updates to management until incident resolution.
  • Data & documentation 
    • Maintain comprehensive logs and databases of all incidents.
    • Review, finalize, and file incident documentation in accordance with NYCT standards.
  • Operational coverage 
    • Required to cover SixWire/Assist responsibilities during team-members’ lunch/comfort break.
    • Assist Superintendents in gathering and packaging incident information for other divisions, District Offices, and external stakeholders.
  • Other duties 
    • Perform special assignments and related tasks as directed by management.

Eligibility & Compensation

  • Title: Station Supervisor I Or II (Lateral Transfer)
  • Minimum time in title: 1 year

Education & Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools, Power Apps/BI, Teams, and EAM
  • Thorough understanding of and the ability to effectively apply, NYC Transit rules, safety regulations, and operating procedures

Selection Method
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

Excellent Time, Attendance and operating record (no pending /open disciplinary actions). 

All appointments, with the exception of Department of Subways’ employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
