Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit timely and accurate statutory financial statements in compliance with SAP and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
Handle quarterly and annual filings, ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulatory bodies.
Reconcile statutory financial reports to GAAP-based financial statements, investigating and explaining variances.
Stay current with evolving statutory accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with auditors during statutory audits, ensuring accurate and timely provision of supporting documentation.
Monitor regulatory developments and changes to ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, and federal rules.
Assist in preparing cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets in accordance with statutory guidelines.
Work closely with internal accounting teams to enhance and streamline financial reporting processes.
Provide detailed financial analysis, offering insights to support decision-making across the business.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation is a strong advantage.
3-5 years of experience in statutory accounting and reporting, particularly within industries like insurance, finance, or highly regulated environments.
Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles (SAP) and GAAP.
Proficiency with financial reporting tools and systems, such as Oracle, SAP, or similar.
Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets and creating reports.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
Strong communication skills—able to explain complex concepts clearly to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with evolving regulatory landscapes.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary and incentive programs.
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
401(k) with company matching.
Generous paid time off and flexible work arrangements (including hybrid options).
A dynamic and collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional growth.
Location: Atlanta, GA (This is an in-office role with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements after initial onboarding.)
