Steel Installation - Welder

Global Metal Works & Erectors, Inc. located within the Port of Tacoma, is a mid-size steel fabrication and erection business in need of additional qualified field personnel. The successful candidate should have:

(1) five years construction experience

(2) experience reading and interpreting shop drawings, structural drawings and blueprints

(3) WABO certification for FCAW or SMAW is preferred

(4) Rigging experience and working knowledge in the use of forklifts, snorkel lifts and scissor lifts



This position is physically demanding and can be fast paced and pressing at times, so the ideal candidate must be reliable, punctual, self-motivated, work well under pressure and take initiative to finish installations in a timely manner and problem solve when necessary. This position requires working at heights on a regular basis.



A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability and history of showing up to work every day are required.

Base hourly rates range from $19 - $35/hour which do not include OT, Prevailing-Wage, and bonus opportunities.
