Steel/Aluminum Saw Operator Day Shift

Job Summary

Perform all duties to get orders prepped for completion including CNC routing, saw operation, Accubend operation and Cut Up/ Get Ready.
 

Job Responsibilities  

CNC Operation

• Set up material and machine.
• Select and install correct bits and cutting speeds for material usage
• Read and understand cut plates and be able to perform knife cut

Accubend Operation

• Operator Accubend machine including troubleshooting problems.
• Maintain maintenance log and perform maintenance according to schedule

Saw Operation

• Select proper material and length to eliminate waste
• Operate radial arm saw
• Screw extrusion together

Cut Up/Get Ready

• Read blueprint and cut materials to order
• Spot weld material for jobs as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

· High School diploma or GED required

· Manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Cognitive thinking skills 

· Read tape measures and performing simple math ie: %, angles, radius, sq.ft., etc.

· Read and understand information in Job Packets

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with some overtime varying.

· First shift core hours are: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm M-F. 

Physical Demands

This position will require an employee to be able to be in motion on a hard surface. Lifting, bending, and stretching will be frequent. Noise level of an average production floor.
