Step Down RN

Position: Step Down Registered Nurse

Confident Staff Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Step Down Registered Nurse to join our team in Lawton, OK. As a Step Down RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients who are transitioning from the intensive care unit to a general care unit.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and medical status, and report any changes to the healthcare team

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans

- Educate patients and their families on post-ICU care and medication management

- Monitor and maintain medical equipment and supplies

- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their recovery process

- Document patient care and progress accurately and timely

- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Requirements:

- Active RN license in the state of Oklahoma

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Step Down RN

- BLS and ACLS certification

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
