What You’ll Do

The primary function of the Sterile Processing Technician is to clean, test, adjust, assemble and sterilize reusable medical supplies, instruments and equipment.

  Responsibilities:
  
  
  
  • Stores and distributes patient care medical instruments and equipment to hospital units
  
  
  • Stocks medical supply storage areas
  
  
  • Performs, analyzes and documents sterilizer functions
  
  
  • Tests vacuums, chemical and biological indicators
  
  
  • Evaluates and inspects equipment
  
  
  • Answers telephones
  
  
  • Handles face to face interactions with patients and hospital personnel
  
  
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned
  
  
  
  

Who We’re Looking For

• Six months’ experience in a medical setting preferred.


• Certification in field is preferred.


• Must have a current American Heart Association approved BLS card within three months of hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.


• Graduate of certified Central Service Technician program or previous experience as Sterile Processing Technician preferred, familiarity with hospital supplies, equipment, instruments.

What We Offer
Our total rewards package includes

• Pay Range: $21.50 - $34.70/hour (based on experience)


• Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends


• PRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salary

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
