Sterile Processing Technician 32 to 37 per hour

Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and proper distribution of medical instruments and supplies used in our hospital. This position is critical to ensuring a safe and sterile environment for patient care, and offers a pay rate of $24 to $28 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Inspect and test sterilized equipment for defects or damage
• Package instruments properly according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and instrument inventory
• Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures
• Collaborate with surgical and clinical staff to ensure availability of sterile instruments
• Must be ok working in a hospital setting

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in sterile processing preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare role
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills

• $32 - $37/hour
• 1099 contract
