Sterilization Technician – Full-Time

Wave Dental Specialists – Dearborn Heights, MI
Schedule: Full-Time | Alternating Saturdays Required

Wave Dental Specialists is a growing multi-specialty dental practice seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team. This role is essential to keeping our clinical areas clean, organized, and ready for patient care across Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, and other specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, package, and sterilize dental instruments
  • Operate and monitor sterilization equipment
  • Maintain accurate sterilization logs and follow infection-control protocols
  • Keep instruments, supplies, and sterilization areas organized and stocked
  • Assist with operatory turnover and instrument delivery as needed
  • Support Dental Assistants and clinical teams throughout the day
  • Jump in and assist other specialties as needed

Requirements

  • Previous dental assisting or sterilization experience preferred
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and infection-control procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work alternating Saturdays required

Requirements

Education and Training

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
  • Valid X-ray certificate.
  • Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements).
  • CPR & first aid certificate.

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Operations Manager
