Steward AM Shift

We are looking for a Steward to join our kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness. Ensure the flawless cleaning, sanitizing, and organization of all hotel dishes, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment. The Steward AM plays a crucial role in maintaining back-of-house sanitation across our kitchens and event spaces, strictly adhering to food safety and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Dish Machine Operation:

• Efficiently operate and load commercial dishwashers, ensuring proper application of approved cleaning chemicals (industrial detergent, rinse aid, and sanitizer).


• Operate dishwashing machinery correctly according to operating procedures, safety guidelines, and supervisor training.

Manual Pots & Pans Washing:

• Wash pots, pans, and heavy cookware at the three-compartment sink station using designated cleaning solutions.

Sanitation & Kitchen Maintenance:

• Keep workstations, dish landing areas, floors, and walls clean and free of clutter.


• Use assigned tools (scrub pads, pressure hoses, and brushes) for deep cleaning kitchen equipment and facilities.


• Sort, collect, and empty trash receptacles, maintaining waste areas in a clean and sanitary condition.

Organization & Inventory Handling:

• Properly sort, transport, and store flatware, chinaware, and glassware in designated racks and storage areas.

Compliance & Safety Standards:

• Maintain health and sanitation standards in accordance with state guidelines and internal hotel policies (HACCP / ServSafe).


•  Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (apron, heavy-duty gloves, non-slip shoes).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Prior stewarding or dishwashing experience in a hotel, restaurant, or banquet environment is preferred, but not required.


• Knowledge: Basic knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals and food safety practices is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

• High attention to detail and strong cleanliness standards.


•  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


•  Strong team-player attitude.

Availability: Full flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift heavy items or dish racks (up to 45–50 lbs.).
