Steward/Dishwasher - Full Time

Maintain cleanliness and organization within all back of house Food & Beverage areas. This is a Full Time position. Must have open availability.

This position pays $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Clean the kitchen to include all kitchen equipment and implements.  Clean kitchen hoods, walls, ceilings.  Ensure cleanliness of the exterior of all kitchen equipment to include: doors, walls, handles, etc.


• Clean employee cafeteria equipment to include: walls,  steam tables, queen mary, refrigerators, warmers, etc.


• Clean the kitchen floor, wash floor mats


• Pick up all refuse in the kitchen,  empty all trashcans, clean all trashcans


• Clean loading dock.  Clean floor and organize the area.


• Follow dumpster procedures


• Knowledge of Floor Maintenance; i.e., equipment used/chemicals used.


• Transport equipment; i.e., mats, trashcans


• Knowledge of chemical use in cleaning - OSHA.


• Cleans pots, pans and all other cookware utensils as requested by supervisor.


• Keeps cookware washing area clean and neat.  Keep the area around the dish machine clean and sanitized


• Ensure that dish machines are properly cleaned and maintained.


• Stores cleaning items in the proper location.  Ensure chemical supplies are organized and in a specific area


• Completes other duties as assigned.


• Any and all reasonable requests of management

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dishwashing, pot cleaning in the kitchen area


• Prior experience in food & beverage  preferred.


• High school diploma or GED 


• Must possess a valid Food Handler's certificate as required by the county. 


• Customer service skills


• Basic kitchen knowledge


• Basic knowledge of sanitation and cleaning products


• Great personality and the ability to work in a team


• Must be willing to work nights, weekends & holidays.
