Stock Clerk/Operating Room Attendant

The Stock Clerk / OR Attendant provides support to both the Materials Management and Operating Room teams. This dual-role position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, stocking supplies, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to clinical areas. In addition, the role provides direct assistance to the surgical team by preparing, cleaning, and maintaining operating rooms to ensure efficiency and patient safety.

• High school diploma or GED certificate recipient
• Strong ethical and moral character references.
• Good computer skills

Preferred

• Experience in materials management
• ASC experience
• 2 –3 years surgical background (Surgical Supply ordering, OR Aide, etc.)

7. Duties 

• Prepare operating rooms before procedures, ensuring supplies, instruments, and equipment are available and correctly set up. 
• Transport patients, equipment, and sterile supplies as needed. 
• Assist with room turnover, including cleaning, waste removal, and restocking between cases. 
• Always follow infection prevention and safety protocols. 
• Provide general support to the surgical team to maintain efficiency and patient care standards. 
• Receive, inspect, and stock medical and surgical supplies. 
• Rotate stock to maintain product integrity and monitor expiration dates. 
• Maintain par levels and replenish supplies in clinical and surgical areas. 
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records. 
• Communicate supply shortages or back-orders to the Materials Manager. 
• Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Red Flag Rules.
