Store Floor Manager

Cheeky Monkey Toys, an independent, locally owned, retail toy store, is looking for an amazing Store Manager to lead our Los Altos team.

About the Role: The Store Manager plays a key role in overseeing daily store operations, leading the sales team, and ensuring the store is beautifully merchandised. This is a hands-on position, with 80% of the manager's time spent actively engaging on the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure a welcoming environment.
• Oversee day-to-day store operations and ensure seamless workflow.
• Train, support, and supervise a dynamic team.
• Execute effective merchandising strategies to enhance the store's visual appeal.
• Organize store events and foster strong community engagement.
• Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience supervising a diverse team of 10+ individuals in a managerial or assistant managerial role.
• Full time and Saturday availability.
• Strong background in retail, with a passion for exceptional customer service.
• Ability to cultivate an inclusive and fun environment for staff and customers alike.
• Demonstrated expertise in merchandising and maintaining an engaging store layout.
• Physically capable of standing, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in troubleshooting point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Experience working with children, toys, or knowledge of child development is a bonus but not required.
