Job Description - Store Manager


BRAND-NEW STORE OPENING!

We're thrilled to announce the opening of our newest Rosauers Supermarkets location! We're seeking an experienced Store Manager to join us well in advance of our grand opening to help bring this exciting new store to life. In this role, you'll have the unique opportunity to be part of the pre-opening team, assisting with store setup, hiring, and building your team from the ground up, and ensuring we're ready to deliver the exceptional Rosauers experience our customers expect from day one.

If you are hired, you will be...

  • Creating an all-around enjoyable shopping experience for our customers.
  • Delivering excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Motivating the sales team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring.
  • A shining example of well behavior and high performance.
  • Maintaining outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Dealing with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc.)
  • Meeting goals by training, motivating, and providing feedback to team members.
  • Conducting performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
  • Implementing business strategies to attract new customers and enhance profitability.
  • Undertaking store administrative tasks (manage store budgets, track financial records.)
  • Building reports on buying trends, customer needs, profits, etc.
  • Performing other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.

Especially if you can talk to us about your...

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience opening a new store location (strongly preferred).
  • Track record of building and developing teams from scratch.
  • Passion for food and our local community.

Requirements

A few things you’ll need…

  • Candidates must be 18+ years or older
  • Complete a pre-employment background check
  • Previous experience in a store management role is essential 
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50lbs

  • Powerful leading skills and business orientation
  • Proven experience launching a new retail location and establishing operations
  • ability to recruit, hire, and onboard a complete team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer management skills and Customer satisfaction-oriented
  • Ability to remain calm and pleasant during peak hours
  • Ability to create a smooth and fulfilling shopping experience
