Store Manager MT - Events/Web Fulfillment

Direct the day-to-day operations of the store(S) in Montana. Collaborate with the VP of Retail to develop and execute strategies to gain new customer service, drive store(s) sales and increase profitability. Create store(s) policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. Maintain high standards and conditions and foster a positive environment. Be a part of the E-commerce team by picking, packing, and shipping website orders from MT providing great service by processing web orders timely. Will play a pivotal role in bringing our mission to life through meaningful experiences and local engagement. Responsible for sourcing and executing Livingston events.

Primary Duties:

sales:

• meet/exceed monthly budget. 
• manage individual store Instagram account and capture content from the store to feature.
• execute store merchandising and promotions to align with brand guidelines to maximize store traffic and sales. 
• provide excellent customer service by phone and in person through clear communication, transaction efficiency and kind demeanor. 
• ensure merchandising, maintenance, and cleanliness of the store. 
• attend weekly manager meetings with revenue results, store information, and questions/ideas to make business happen. 

sales associates:

• train and develop staff to reach their highest potential, achieving excellent customer service. 
• represent glassybaby brand. 
• write schedules and address staffing needs by planning, preparing, and distributing work schedules. 
• set clear expectations for sales associates’ conduct and lead by example. 
• accountable for budgeted labor hours and expenses provided by retail manager. 
• train all sales associates on POS/Shopify
• train associates on color club: from helping with sign up of new members to redeeming rewards.
• Educate sales associates on glassybaby marketing, giving, and general information on the company. 

inventory:

• process transfer requests and receive transfers. 
• record exchanges daily in NS. all exchanges to entered and completed daily. 
• perform daily, monthly, and quarterly inventory counts as required. 
• daily review of negative inventory report  
• work with accounting on discrepancies with inventory in NS. 
• communicate with the warehouse manager with transfer, packaging, expenses, and collateral requests. 
• clear communication with all sales channels on inventory management  
• daily cycle counts 

Event Sourcing and Execution:

• Develop and execute a calendar of events in our hotshop and event space, including workshops, private gatherings, philanthropic activations and seasonal celebrations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events align with glassybaby’s brand, values and philanthropic goals.
• Manage all logistics aspects of events including vendor coordination, setup and teardown, staffing and guest experience.
• Create and maintain event budgets, timelines, and post-event reports to evaluate success and areas of improvement. 

Community Outreach:

• Build relationships with local nonprofits, artists, businesses and community leaders to foster partnerships and collaborative opportunities.
• Represent glassybaby at community meetings, events and networking functions to increase visibility and deepen local connections.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for glassybaby to support and participate in community initiatives aligned with our mission.
• Serve as a local ambassador for glass baby, sharing our story and values with warmth and authenticity. 

Marketing & Promotion:

• Partner with the marketing team to promote events and outreach efforts through digital, print and social media channels.
• Contribute to storytelling efforts by capturing and sharing impactful moments from events and community engagements.

Web/Ecommerce:

• Print and sort orders for web fulfillment.
• Ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Manage handwritten note requests for outgoing sales.
• Assist with processing incoming and outgoing inventory transfers.
• Assist with stocking glassybaby products, packaging, accessories, ribbons, tealights and circle cards.
• All other duties as assigned.

Measurements of Performance (ongoing)

• Meet or exceed sales and profit goals of the stores. 
• Meet customer demand for products while helping the Production & Operations Manager maintain a minimum monthly inventory with at least 98% accuracy. 
• web orders are fulfilled timely, accurately and shipped quickly to customers.
• maintain monthly budgeted labor hours through effective scheduling to ensure profitability.
• With corporate sales help grow and manage events at Livingston hotshop
• Able to work as a proactive, supportive, self-directed team member, upholding a positive attitude and always setting a good example.
• Encourage a supportive work environment for all employees.
• Develop and refine strong sales and relationships to support the glassybaby brand and mission. 
• Maintain the stores’ visual and operational standards to the glassybaby expectation.
• Set a positive and encouraging tone for the store employees to increase sales.
• Able to handle general employee relations issues

Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses

• Bachelor’s degree 
• 5+ years of retail experience 
• 1-2 years of experience supervising employees 

Physical Demands

• Ability to regularly lift-up to 35 pounds and rarely lift to 50 pounds. 
• Frequent standing and walking. 
• Must be able to work in conditions that are impacted by weather and climate. 
• Must be able to speak and hear well enough to conduct conversations. 
• Vision abilities are critical and include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. 
• Must be able to work in an environment where noise level is usually moderate. 
• Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; must be able to frequently reach with hands and arms; below, at and above the waistline
