Job Description - Store Manager - Natures of Garden City

Come join the growing field of cannabis! We are searching for a full time Store Manager at our Natures of Garden City location.

General Info:

Candidates with a current badge to work in the cannabis industry in Colorado will be given heavy preference. If you do not have that, you can apply for this by clicking HERE!

This is a full time position, regularly scheduled 40 hours per week, with overtime when needed. You will regularly be scheduled for 30+ hours per week, generally 5 shifts per week. This position requires open availability, as the store is open from 8:00 am - 11:55 pm daily, including holidays and weekends. The only day the store is closed is Christmas Day.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Store Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with all regulations in the cannabis industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for both customers and associates.


Pay - this position starts at $21/hour plus tips.

Full Time Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package, including Health Insurance (Kaiser), Dental Insurance (Delta Dental), Vision (VSP), and Gap/Accident/Illness Insurance (Transamerica). We also participate in the Colorado SecureSavings program thru the State of Colorado. Paid Sick and Vacation time are accrued per pay period.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop staff, fostering a positive and productive team culture.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure outstanding customer service by training staff to assist customers effectively and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Sales Management: Drive sales growth through strategic planning, promotional activities, and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, including stock ordering, tracking, and loss prevention to ensure product availability and compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including those from the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) and the company.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage daily financial operations, including cash handling, sales reporting, and budget adherence.
  • Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant store environment that meets the highest standards for both safety and presentation.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance and staff productivity, providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cannabis products and industry regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to compliance and safety.
  • Previous experience with POS systems and inventory management software.
  • Extensive customer service experience, including supervising retail associates and managing invoices and cash handling.
  • Exhibits professionalism, punctuality, reliability, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expected proficiency with various business technologies, including HR systems for timesheet management, time clocks, POS systems, and Google Office.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have MED Badge.
