Job Description - Strategic Account Manager - South East

The Strategic Account Manager will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Accounts, Pricing and Contracting and serve as the primary point of contact for all account management activities across assigned high value targeted accounts, which may include Payers, IDNs, ACOs, GPOs, Government, Institutional and/or Specialty Pharmacy accounts. The Strategic Account Manager will possess a broad understanding of the current and evolving market access landscape and reimbursement models.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Increase awareness and knowledge of Azurity portfolio and payment structures with market access stakeholders

Analyze, track and maintain reporting on current customer insights, business interactions and Azurity product performance against goals

Subject matter expert on the overall healthcare environment, your assigned customers’ business models, medical policies, decision-making and contracting processes

Build and execute a strategic business plan that contributes to the overall department and corporate business results.

Develop and maintain business partnerships across assigned customer segments with key decision makers and stakeholders

Partner with the Azurity Institution sales teams and coach to the Hospital reimbursement landscape, including access and formulary decision making, ordering processes and launch best practices

Attend national and regional conferences, trade shows, industry meetings, and customer sponsored meetings, as applicable, to further develop the alliances between access customers and Azurity

Review and analyze performance against existing contracts to ensure compliance with agreed upon metrics

Present customer insights to internal teams during regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings

Work cross functionally to support and develop a strong alliance and regular meeting cadence with local sales teams, to optimize sales and marketing strategies within targeted account customers

Always adhere to relevant pharmaceutical industry regulatory and compliance guidelines and company policies in all business supported settings and industry meetings

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required

5+ years' experience within the commercial pharmaceuticals/biotech industry with 2+ years working in a market access or complex/specialty sales, external customer facing role

People leadership and institutional sales experience a plus

Strong business acumen and contracting experience with diverse payment models

Experience with IDNs and institutional payer reimbursement models, including buy and bill, is preferred

Current and relevant understanding of the market access landscape impacting pharmaceuticals, including headwinds, recent and impending legislation, government payment models and trends impacting providers and payers

Strong executive presence, public speaking, presentation development and platform skills

Organized business management style with attention to detail

High degree of integrity and ethics and support of Azurity’s core values

Regular travel and adherence to all Travel and Expense regulations is expected
