DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a comprehensive, evolving, and growing business unit within Amazon.com which provides cloud services. Since early 2006, AWS has provided a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. We are looking for a talented professional to join the AWS Real Estate Team who will operate on both strategic and tactical levels to support the expansion of AWS’s Data Center Network in the U.S.

The AWS Data Center Supply Solutions, Real Estate Team is looking for a talented, experienced Strategic Renewal Manager. In this role, you will be a key member of the Real Estate Team and will be responsible for coordinating and managing data center real estate approval processes and metrics; end-to-end ownership of financial requirements, reporting, metric and analysis; coordinate legal documentation and overall portfolio analysis.

The ideal candidate needs to be detailed oriented and a strong communicator that can work independently and will possess a high level of competence in performing a full range of portfolio responsibilities in an extremely fast paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities
• Collect, coordinate and manage portfolio renewal process and approvals
• Perform strategic analysis of existing portfolio and support planning for renewals
• Support negotiations for lease renewals and site exits
• Track and report on contractual obligations and critical dates
• Collect and disseminate regular reports to internal partners
• Manage portfolio reporting and tracking, create dashboards, and perform analysis
• Create and track key metrics, KPI’s and SLA’s for existing portfolio
• Responsible for creating and managing weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews for existing portfolio
• Drive process implementation and improvements
• Identification of cost saving opportunities with existing sites and financial analysis
• Assist in portfolio optimization and the creation of templates


A day in the life
Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for all aspects of the data center portfolio. You will prioritize your activities to support data center strategic portfolio planning and analysis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience in financial/business analysis
-Experience in business development, negotiation's, and contractual interpretation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with Tableau
- Experience using very large datasets
- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $73,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
