What You’ll Do:

The Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for building and scaling CoreWeave’s global supplier ecosystem to support rapid data center and network expansion. This role partners closely with Network Engineering, Data Center Development, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Program Management to ensure dark fiber, lit services, colocation interconnects, and carrier services are sourced competitively, reliably, and at scale across CoreWeave’s footprint.

Category Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute category strategies for dark fiber, lit fiber, wavelengths, carrier services, IX connectivity, and OSP construction services

  • Translate network expansion plans and capacity forecasts into sourcing and budget plans

  • Provide cost, schedule, and risk inputs to Network Architecture, Infrastructure, and Program teams

Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Execution

  • Lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract awards with ISPs, carriers, utilities, and fiber providers (e.g., dark fiber IRUs, leases, lit services)

  • Experience negotiating and managing commercial relationships with Tier 1 and regional fiber providers (e.g., Zayo, Lumen, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, and others)

  • Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, SLAs, build timelines, capacity rights, renewal structures, and performance remedies

  • Ensure sourcing strategies align with CoreWeave’s network architecture standards, security requirements, and long-term growth plans

Technical & Program Delivery Integration

  • Ability to work with KMZs, GIS tools, and route maps to validate fiber paths, diversity, splice points, and rights-of-way during network acquisition and delivery planning

  • Partner with Network Engineering to translate technical requirements (routes, diversity, latency, fiber type, splice/access points) into executable sourcing packages

  • Support delivery of fiber builds, carrier turn-ups, and interconnect deployments across multiple metros

  • Track milestones across design, permitting, construction, testing, and service acceptance

Supplier Performance & Risk Management

  • Establish and manage supplier KPIs covering delivery, availability, resiliency, cost, and responsiveness

  • Lead supplier performance reviews and remediation plans

  • Assess market conditions, right-of-way risks, construction constraints, and carrier capacity limitations

Data, Governance & Process Excellence

  • Maintain sourcing documentation, contracts, and audit-ready records

  • Improve sourcing processes to increase speed, resiliency, and total cost of ownership

  • Support internal governance reviews and executive decision-making

Cross-Functional Support

  • Resolve technical or commercial issues in collaboration with Network Eng., Construction, and Legal

  • Support expansion into new markets by securing early fiber access and scalable connectivity

  • Support troubleshooting of fiber outages, service interruptions, and capacity constraints by coordinating with carriers, Network Engineering, and Operations teams

About the role:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager – Network Infrastructure & Fiber Connectivity owns category strategy, supplier selection, and commercial execution for CoreWeave’s external network connectivity. This role sits at the intersection of network engineering, procurement, and program delivery, translating complex technical requirements into commercial agreements that enable rapid, resilient data center growth. You will lead negotiations with major carriers and fiber providers while ensuring delivery aligns with aggressive deployment schedules and reliability targets.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Telecom., Business, Operations, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, network infrastructure, or carrier services

  • Direct experience sourcing or managing dark fiber, lit fiber, wavelengths, or telecom network services

  • Experience negotiating contracts with ISPs, carriers, or network infrastructure providers

  • Experience translating technical network requirements into commercial sourcing outcomes

  • Proven ability to manage multi-region projects across design, construction, and network engineering

  • Experience supporting data centers, cloud infrastructure, telecom, or hyperscale environments

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to ~30%

  • Authorization to work without current or future sponsorship requirements

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting hyperscale, AI, or cloud infrastructure deployments

  • Familiarity with OSP fiber construction, colocation interconnects, or ecosystems

  • Experience operating in global or multi-metro network environments

  • Familiarity with ERP, contract lifecycle management, and sourcing tools

Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.
