Job Description - Strategy & Corporate Development Associate

Are you passionate about shaping the future of Eaton through corporate development and strategy? Do you have the skills and experience to lead and execute complex financial and strategic projects? If so, we want you to join our team as a Corporate Development \u0026 Planning Associate.\n\nThis role is based out of our North American Headquarter facility in Beachwood, Ohio. We are offering relocation if required. \n\n\nEaton is a global intelligent power management company with a portfolio transformed through disciplined M\u0026A. Since 2019, the Corporate Development \u0026 Planning team has deployed nearly $7B into acquisitions and joint ventures while simultaneously divesting 4 businesses for nearly $5B. These transactions have reshaped our portfolio and positioned Eaton for higher growth, higher margins, and more consistent earnings. \n \nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nPosition Overview: \nThe primary function of this position is to provide analytical, financial modeling, and research support for Eaton\u2019s corporate development and strategy initiatives. These activities shape some of the company\u2019s biggest decisions and require strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills. \nJob Responsibilities: \n\u2022 Build and maintain detailed financial models to support valuation, benchmarking, and planning for potential acquisitions and divestitures using standard methodologies (e.g., DCF, comparables, precedent transactions). \n\u2022 Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity of analytical outputs. \n\u2022 Support due diligence activities by analyzing target company financials, reviewing data room materials, and summarizing key findings. \n\u2022 Assist with coordination of due diligence efforts across corporate functional and business operating teams, under the guidance of the deal lead. \n\u2022 Support transition planning and handoff to integration teams following transaction approval \n\u2022 Perform company, market, and industry analyses to support evaluation of potential transactions and broader strategic initiatives. \n\u2022 Assist in framing strategic rationale for potential deals, learning to connect analytical findings to Eaton\u2019s strategic priorities. \n\u2022 Support developing presentations, memos and analyses for internal leadership reviews, including materials that may ultimately support executive or Board\u2011level discussions.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Minimum of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree from an accredited university. \n\u2022 Minimum of 1 year of post-MBA work experience in corporate development, corporate strategic planning, consulting, finance, or investment banking \n\u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Top tier MBA strongly preferred. \n\u2022 4 years or more of professional work experience.\n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to complete complex financial analysis with accuracy and attention to detail. \n\u2022 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical\u2011thinking skills. \n\u2022 Demonstrated working knowledge of valuation models and methodologies. \n\u2022 Demonstrated track record of project leadership skills and experience. \n\u2022 Well-developed written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to present data clearly. \n\u2022 Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. \n\u2022 Ability to manage multiple analytical tasks and deadlines in a fast\u2011paced, transaction\u2011oriented environment. \n\u2022 Up to 10% travel required.\n\nThe application window for this position is anticipated to close on 4.6.2026.\n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
