Role Overview

Be part of history at the FIFA World Cup 2026 and help deliver one of the most ambitious live digital streaming operations ever. As a Streaming Operator within the HBS Digital Operations Team, you’ll work at the International Broadcast Centre in Dallas, monitoring and managing live streams at the heart of global coverage.

This is a hands-on, event-time role where you will ensure millions of fans worldwide experience seamless, high-quality streaming. Responsibilities

• Monitor live streams for quality, latency, and synchronization across multiple feeds and devices.
• Troubleshoot real-time streaming issues (network, encoding, CDN, player) and escalate to engineering teams with clear explanations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operational guidelines.
• Contribute to the ticketing system for incident management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of live streaming protocols and workflows (RTMP, SRT, HLS, DASH, CMAF).
• Experience with encoding/transcoding systems (Elemental, AWS Media Services, OBS, Telestream, etc.).
• Working knowledge of monitoring tools for live streaming operations; basic networking knowledge (IP, latency, packet loss).
• Strong composure under pressure during live events.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in large, multicultural production environments.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Preferred: Experience in sports broadcasting or major live digital events.
