KYTX CBS19 in Tyler, Texas is looking for a creative and driven Streaming Producer to help grow our presence on our 24/7 digital streaming platform, CBS19+, while also contributing to traditional linear newscasts. This is a perfect entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career journalist who wants hands-on experience producing content across multiple platforms. On-the-job training will be provided.

In this role, you’ll help produce live and on-demand streaming content, work alongside a seasoned team, and contribute to crafting engaging local newscasts for East Texas.

Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do:

• Produce daily live and on-demand content for CBS19+ during a consistent weekday shift


• Assist in curating and scheduling the CBS19+ streaming lineup using content from our newsroom and sister stations


• Respond to breaking news, severe weather, and live events with timely streaming updates or live coverage


• Collaborate with reporters, photographers, and producers to identify strong streaming opportunities


• Repurpose and repackage news content for digital-first formats


• Attend daily editorial meetings and offer digital-forward ideas


• Write promotional content for web, social, and streaming platforms to highlight CBS19+


• Track audience performance using analytics to shape future programming


• Learn and apply traditional newscast production techniques to support the linear broadcast team


• Linear Production Responsibilities Include:


• Fill in as a line producer for newscasts as needed (with training provided)


• Assist producers with writing, formatting rundowns, and selecting video/sound


• Learn to stack shows, time segments, and coordinate with reporters and anchors


• Contribute to breaking news coverage on broadcast platforms

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcast, television production, digital media, or a related field


• Strong writing and editorial skills, with an understanding of what drives audience engagement


• Familiarity with video editing tools and newsroom systems (experience with ENPS, Edius, Premiere Pro, or similar is a plus)


• Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, team environment


• Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn


• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and assist where needed across the newsroom


• Passion for local news and digital storytelling


• Nice to Have (Not Required):


• Internship or school newsroom experience


• Familiarity with streaming or OTT platforms


• Understanding of SEO, YouTube strategy, and/or social video
