Structural CAD Designer

At Dawood Engineering, Inc., we provide multi-disciplined consulting services for a wide range of industries encompassing Transportation, Energy & Land Planning/Site Development.

Our engineers and professionals provide Highway Design and Traffic Engineering, Bridge and Structural Engineering, Civil Design, Surveying and Mapping, Pipeline and Associated Facility Design, Geotechnical/Geophysical, Environmental Studies and Water/Wastewater design.

We are currently seeking a Structural CAD Designer to join our team in our Enola, PA office location. Our King of Prussia and Canonsburg, PA locations will also be considered. As a Structural CAD Designer, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers and Engineers, providing CADD support and plan preparation, establishing work procedures, and providing guidance to junior CADD staff.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• CAD Drafting
• Prepare detailed structural plans including elevations and cross sections utilizing Bentley and Autodesk software
• Maintaining CAD workspaces
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff

Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or equivalent experience 
• 6-8 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite
• Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with PennDOT and PA Turnpike standards and procedures
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Experience with transportation structures preferred
