Structural Department Manager

An industry leading multi\-disciplinary team is looking for a Structural Department Manager for their Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania team!

Responsibilities:

• Provide resources to project managers to successfully execute projects
  


• Establish work plans/estimates for staff assigned projects
  


• Oversee production of work product to ensure it meets quality standards
  


• Supervise projects/staff
  


• Manage client expectations/communications
  


• Maintain backlogs/manpower forecasts to ensure proper staffing levels and department utilization
  


• Assist HR with recruitment/training
  


• Build/maintain client relationships
  


• Participate in trade organizations
  


• Assist with business development including preparing/assisting with presentations
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  


• 8+ years of civil/site development design experience
  


• PE License preferred
  


• Experience preparing civil engineering calculations (stormwater, potable water hydraulics, sewer and storm hydraulics, hydrology)
  


• Knowledge of permitting processes/requirements in Western Pennsylvania jurisdictions
  


• Experience designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects
  


• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  


• Proficient knowledge of standard construction practices
  


• Ability to work with contractors to address construction issues
  


• Experience with analysis software experience (ICPR, BMP Trains, HEC\-RAS, WaterCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D)
