As a Structural Drafter at Ware Malcomb, you will assist with producing detailed drawings and documentation to support a wide range of structural projects. You will ensure consistency and accuracy across all project phases and maintain drawing standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers, gaining exposure to structural design, analysis, renovations, adaptive reuse, and more.
Your Role
- Prepare scaled drawings and contract documents under the guidance of a Professional Engineer
- Interpret and apply redlines to structural drawings with precision
- Maintain and evolve CAD/BIM standards specific to structural engineering workflows
- Troubleshoot CAD/BIM issues and support team training
- Assist with plotting/printing challenges and help train staff on best practices
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements
- Support project delivery timelines and communicate proactively with the team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a structural engineering role
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Familiarity with MicroStation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
