Structural Drafter/Designer - Urgent Hire

Seeking a Structure Drafter/Designer to serve manufacturing industries with the design and build of custom electrical, instrument, and pneumatic control panels. The drafter3D modeler and programmer is a professional who uses CAD software to create, edit, and modify detailed 2D and2D and 3D drawings and designs for electrical equipment structural and metal components and assemblies per client specs. who will design and implement complex Utility grade, industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical power systems. The position is in Northwest Houston, TX. Client wants to hire a local area Houston, TX applicant for this position. 

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø  Create engineering drawings and models using Autodesk Inventor for structural builds, fabrication assemblies, modification projects, and upgrades or customization per client specs.

Ø  Programming in Stryker and Bendsimpro as required.

Ø  Track assigned tasks and prioritized the completion of tasks accordingly.

Ø  Maintain Company’s drafting standards and templates.

Ø  Learn building structures and client-specific needs.

Ø  Read and analyze existing blueprints, construction drawings, and plans.

Ø  Routinely produce accurate drawings promptly and efficiently

Ø  Ability to complete drawings independently in a timely manner.

Ø  Learn construction and design methods and best practices.

Ø  Evaluate the design for constructability and ease of manufacturing.

Ø  Create programs to run on fabrication machines as required.

Ø  Estimates material usage and additionally creates a bill of materials for design products.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

v  Drafting or Design, Manufacturing, Engineering, or similar degree preferred

v  One year of experience in Stryker and or Bendsimpro preferred.

v  Two years of experience in Drafting, Design, Manufacturing, or Engineering required.

v  Two plus years of experience drafting structural components in a manufacturing environment required.

v  Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.

v  Two years of experience in Autodesk Inventor required.

v  Able to read and interpret Blueprints and Layouts required.

v  Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required.
