Structural EIT

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Structural EIT to join our Portland, OR office.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis tasks for projects, including bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under the oversight of a senior engineer
• Prepare contract documents for bridge design projects, including design calculations, developments of plans, specifications, quantities, and estimates, and submittal of reviews during construction
• Prepare detailed plans for assigned bridge engineering tasks
• Occasional field site visits

• BS in Civil Engineering required, MS in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred)
• EIT Certification (preferred)
• One to four years of experience
• MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Code Requirements, familiarity with local market design and detail requirements (preferred)
• Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production of bridge projects following Federal, State, and local standards, in particular, ODOT, and/or WSDOT standards. Experience in CA or WA considered a plus.
• Familiarity with Structural Engineering and Analysis software
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cooperative, team environments
