Typical Duties
- Perform engineering calculations and preparation of reports, feasibility studies, permit applications, construction plans and specifications.
- Visit clients, jobsites and consultant offices as needed to support project needs.
- Interface with other disciplines and consultants as needed.
- Prepare, coordinate and review work plans prepared in CAD
- Perform administration and coordination of structural items during construction.
- Work in team environment.
- Efficiently communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas.
- Handle design activities for multiple clients simultaneously.
- Actively participates in civic and professional organizations.
Minimum Requirements
Skills
- Ability to work a regular schedule of 7:30AM to 5:30PM Mondays – Thursdays, 7:30am to 11:30AM on Fridays, and occasionally at night and on the weekends.
- A successful track record of design of projects
- Efficient work ethic to complete tasks on time and within budgets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of construction industry and ability to work with Contractors
- Ability to perform field work for assessments and construction observation in a variety of environments.
- Ability to work alone and within team
- Experienced in Private and Public sector projects
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCad
- Proficiency in RISA, SAP2000, RAM or other finite element software
