Position: Structural Engineer ** License Needed
Location: Imperial, PA
***In Office 2 days | Home 3 days/ week
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a continuous flow of production and development tasks that require structural assessment in a rapidly expanding market. Provide guidance to drafting and design teams.
- Conduct structural engineering calculations for both wood-framed and metal-framed structures.
- Take charge of QA/QC efforts involving drafting and design teams before disseminating to the homes division, facilitating permits and start requests across multiple states.
- Address RFIs from the field and track responses efficiently.
- Conduct site inspections, collaborating with field personnel and trade contractors.
- Offer drawing redlines on drafted plan sets based on structural calculations.
- Revise structural calculations in response to jurisdictional comments and generate response letters when necessary.
- Evaluate early-stage projects for structural feasibility and completeness.
- Stamp structural calculation packages and associated drawing sets.
- Coordinate with estimating, marketing, and model accuracy divisions to ensure alignment with design, drafting standards, and design documentation.
- Execute project responsibilities within scope, considering budget constraints and building schedules.
- Review plan sets for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain all revisions of project drawings.
- Facilitate effective communication and project management, providing necessary follow-ups throughout the permitting process, start process, and during the construction of each home.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Possess Structural Engineer’s License and Professional Engineer’s License in PA, OH, KY, VA, MD, WV, or the ability to obtain Reciprocity in all listed states.
- Bring 1+ years of professional engineering experience, with a strong preference for 2+ years in the construction industry.
- Have intermediate proficiency in ArchiCAD, MicroStation, AutoCAD/Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Possess a working knowledge of Google Suite products (Gmail, Drive, Gchat).
