The Opportunity

A well-established multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm in Livingston, New Jersey is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (P.E.) to contribute to a broad portfolio of building projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and institutional sectors. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and collaborative design — working directly alongside architects, civil, and MEP engineers to deliver integrated structural solutions from concept through construction.

Your Day-to-Day

• Design and analyze structural systems across diverse building types and sectors
• Prepare structural calculations and construction documents
• Review drawings for code compliance and applicable building standards
• Conduct site visits and field inspections to support construction administration
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and project stakeholders
• Communicate with clients and contribute to project planning and coordination
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus
• Demonstrated experience in structural design of commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use buildings
• Strong working knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software
• Solid understanding of applicable building codes and standards
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
