We are looking for a talented Structural Engineering professional to assist with the growth and leadership of our Structural Engineering team in Missouri. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with extensive structural engineering and project management experience working on DOT and/or local agency transportation design projects. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our Structures team focuses on the design, analysis, and inspection of man-made structures such as buildings and bridges with the primary goal of ensuring the integrity, safety, and functionality of our built environment.

In this position, the candidate will:
- Play a key role in the growth, leadership, and development of the Missouri Structural team.
- Establish and maintain relationships with DOT and local agency clients, assisting with business development for the Structural Engineering service line.
- Apply extensive knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge and transportation structures design.
- Perform as a project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects.
- Work on major projects or several major projects of moderate scope with complex features.
- Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
- Assist senior management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
- Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
- Prepare proposals and funding applications.
- As opportunities present themselves this role may also be involved in other various projects and responsibilities.
Qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- 12+ years of Structural Engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design projects
- Experience with project management and accounting software
- Exceptional organization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
