What You'll Do

As the Structural Section Head, you will:

• Drive the strategic growth of the structural department in coordination with senior leadership.
• Lead business development and marketing initiatives to expand local market presence.
• Manage the departmental budget, allocate resources, and ensure financial success.
• Oversee proposal development and contribute to winning new projects.
• Act as the go-to technical expert for project managers and technical teams.

• Define staffing needs and recruit top engineering talent for your team.

• Conducted performance reviews, provided regular coaching, and supported career development.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (from an accredited institution)

• Professional Engineer (PE) License

• 10+ years of experience in structural or civil engineering

• Proven success in project management and business development

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong local client network, including county and state agencies

• Prior team leadership or supervisory experience

• Knowledge of local engineering standards, codes, and permitting processes
