Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Fab and Assembly Shop Superintendent to lead a manufacturing team in Catoosa. This role is responsible for overseeing structural fabrication, assembly, testing, and shipment of air-cooled heat exchangers. The Structural Fab and Assembly Shop Superintendent must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience and the ability to effectively manage both workforce and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise manufacturing teams and suppliers in structural fabrication and assembly.
• Apply knowledge of API661 inspection standards.
• Read and interpret prints and specifications.
• Ensure solid cost controls and manage staffing levels.
• Visit sub-contract suppliers to verify quality, cost, and timeliness.
• Oversee ERP system workflows and manage production schedules.
• Understand costing elements in labor and materials for air cooler builds.
• Negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers as needed.
• Ensure all safety, quality, and company policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience (required).
• Strong knowledge of structural fabrication and assembly processes.
• Ability to effectively lead and manage shop personnel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and labor/material costing.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
