Structural Project Engineer - Commercial & Residential Consulting

We are seeking a Structural Project Engineer to support commercial and residential structural consulting projects throughout Phoenix, AZ. This role blends technical project leadership with estimating and client coordination responsibilities, guiding structural work from early scope development through final documentation and delivery.

Based in Phoenix, AZ, this position plays a central role in managing engineering workflows, coordinating with design professionals and contractors, and ensuring construction documents are accurate and buildable. Projects include new construction, structural remodels, tenant improvements, and evaluations of existing buildings. The ideal candidate brings experience in structural engineering environments and is comfortable balancing technical collaboration with client-facing communication.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead structural consulting projects from kickoff through closeout
• Develop detailed proposals, scopes of work, and service estimates for structural engineering services
• Coordinate with engineers, drafters, contractors, architects, and municipal reviewers
• Monitor budgets, timelines, deliverables, and scope adjustments throughout the project lifecycle
• Review structural drawings and documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and constructability
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing updates and managing expectations
• Support preparation and revision of structural calculations and construction documents
• Ensure projects meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule

• Experience in structural engineering project management, estimating, or consulting environments
• Strong understanding of structural systems, construction documentation, and engineering processes
• Ability to manage multiple commercial and residential projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to budgeting and scheduling
• Professional client-facing presence
• Proficiency with standard project management tools and Microsoft Office

• Competitive annual salary: $75,000 – $105,000
