We are seeking an experienced Structural Section Head to lead our structural engineering team for our client in Lexington, KY. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and implementation of various structural engineering projects, ensuring excellence and quality in all output.

As a Structural Section Head, you will provide technical leadership and mentorship to your team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. You will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure that all project requirements are met while adhering to industry standards and regulations. Your strategic vision and management skills will help steer our team toward achieving project goals and driving continuous improvement in processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the structural engineering section, providing direction and support to team members.
• Oversee structural design and analysis for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients from project inception to design completion, offering technical guidance and insight.
• Implement best practices for structural design processes, enhancing efficiency and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote professional development within the team.
• Participate in strategic planning and budget management for the structural section.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to inform team practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Proven track record of managing multifaceted structural projects from conception through completion.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering software and design tools.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading a team and engaging with clients.
• Analytical thinker with outstanding problem-solving abilities.
