HireNow Staffing is seeking a detail-driven Structural Steel Estimator to join a well-established construction firm based in Irving, TX. This is a full-time, onsite role with strong mentorship, technical variety, and visibility with executive leadership.

What You'll Do

This role is not just about crunching numbers it's about understanding how steel comes together in the real world. Reporting to the Chief Estimator, you'll take a hands-on role in analyzing blueprints, performing takeoffs, and producing accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication and erection projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Completing both digital and manual quantity takeoffs for structural steel components

• Applying knowledge of steel fabrication and erection standards to develop realistic cost projections

• Evaluating subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure alignment with scope and compliance requirements

• Preparing detailed summaries, breakdowns, and buyout lists to support accurate budgeting

• Assisting in onboarding and coaching entry-level estimating team members

What Were Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in structural steel estimating or fabrication

• In-depth knowledge of steel erection methods, materials, and industry standards

• Comfortable reading blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings

• Construction field experience or hands-on familiarity with the build process

• Strong organization, communication, and Excel/estimating software skills
