As a Project Superintendent at JGM, you will be responsible for planning and executing work activities with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. This role involves providing technical assistance to the team and working closely with clients, Project Managers, and the Field Operations Manager to ensure a clear understanding of project strategy and specifications. Responsibilities
Continuously plan and oversee work to ensure the team safely delivers high-quality results on time and within budget.
Supervise construction efforts to ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and specification requirements, while optimizing and tracking progress.
Interface with clients and the operations team to coordinate project details, offering guidance on procedures and safety requirements.
Delegate responsibilities and provide ongoing training and development for future foremen and superintendents, while offering constructive feedback.
Manage multiple craft foremen and disciplines, ensuring effective team collaboration and project success.
Read and interpret blueprint drawings and specifications accurately.
Project manpower needs, maintain a network of skilled craftsmen, and assist in hiring to meet project demands.
Qualifications
Over 10 years of experience in industrial construction, steel erection, piping, equipment setting, or maintenance.
At least 5 years of supervisory experience, managing teams of up to 50 across multiple crafts.
Expertise in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
Strong knowledge in one or more crafts (ironworking, rigging, piping, millwrighting).
Proven leadership skills with a results-driven mindset, adaptability, and strategic thinking.
Effective communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and respond with urgency.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Procore is preferred.
OSHA 30 must be completed upon hiring.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Industrial construction experience preferred; light fabrication and mechanical experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Requires prolonged walking, standing, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping, climbing, regular lifting and carrying to move up to 50 lbs., talking, hearing, reaching, feeling, grasping, and push/pulling.
Must be able to work in various weather conditions/temperatures.
Regular mental and visual attention much or all the time with manual coordination.
Flexibility required to travel.
