Job Description - Student Employee - Marketing Coordinator

Student Employee - Marketing Coordinator

This position supports Career and Internship Services with digital marketing content that promotes programs, events, and student resources. Work includes content creation, social media campaigns, and collaboration with internal teams to increase student engagement and awareness.

In fulfilling this position, student employees must continuously strive to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.

Candidates should:

  • Demonstrate dependable attendance and timely arrival at the assigned work location

  • Exhibit strict confidentiality in working with restricted information

  • Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to a high standard of dress and grooming, including wearing professional business attire. Hair should be clean, neat, modest, and avoid extremes in styles and colors. Men must be clean-shaven and free of piercings. Women must limit piercings to one per ear.

Specific Summary of Duties:

  • Create photo, video, and graphic content for social media and digital platforms

  • Develop instructional materials such as videos, infographics, and layouts for Ensign Connect

  • Interview students, faculty, and alumni to produce storytelling content

  • Plan and schedule social media campaigns across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Ensign Connect

  • Promote events, announcements, and Career Services initiatives

  • Assist with email campaigns and newsletters

  • Collaborate with Ensign College Marketing to align messaging and branding

  • Contribute ideas to improve engagement and visibility

  • Support execution of marketing strategies

  • Maintain content calendars and organized file systems in OneDrive

  • Utilize platforms such as Canvas, Handshake, Zoho CRM, and Ensign Connect

Job Qualification:

  • Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits and in good academic standing.

  • Ability to produce effective written correspondence through email and other written communication.

  • Can communicate effectively, listen and respond appropriately.

  • Highly self-motivated, hard worker, creative, and has a great attention to detail.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the supervisor, team members, faculty, and staff.

  • Ability to solve problems and ask for clarification as needed.

  • Proficient in Office 365 and Canvas.

  • Basic experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere) or Canva preferred.

  • Familiarity with CRM or educational platforms such as Handshake or Zoho preferred.

  • Must commit to dependable attendance and timely arrival at the assigned work location.

Preferred Preparation

  • Comply with all college policies and procedures.
