Job Overview
Offer confidential administrative support for the Student Success Center (SSC) full-time staff in various roles, including clerical support, reception, and other duties/projects as assigned.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide professional customer service at all times, especially while interacting with students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community.
• Ensure students feel welcomed at the SSC. Your smile, attitude, attentiveness, and ability to relay accurate information can positively influence all you meet.
• Welcome and direct students, faculty, staff, and administration.
• Clerical support including phone, email, Advisor scheduling, Microsoft Office use, Zoom, data entry, filing, and copy/print needs.
• Consistently follow correct processes while giving and receiving feedback.
• Maintain student record management and FERPA confidentiality.
• Communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
• Observe and respond to visible needs in various areas of the department.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings when scheduled
Qualifications
• Be able to anticipate, observe, and respond to needs and adapt what is learned to fit the role.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills while understanding and supporting the mission of the college and SSC.
• Be goal and solution-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Be proactive in finding projects in addition to your regular duties during slower work times that will benefit the SSC.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new technologies.
• Ability to interact with diverse populations (cultural, disability, non-traditional students, etc.)
• Ability and willingness to teach/present in front of small groups or in one-on-one teaching and learning settings.
• Must be a current Ensign College student and demonstrate principles of living with honor both on and off campus.
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits each semester of employment.
• Must have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA
SSC employees can expect to work 15-19 hours per week depending on the needs of the SSC and may vary from semester to semester.
