Student Records Officer

The Opportunity:
West Liberty University is seeking applications for a Records Officer. The Records Officer supports the effective operation of an institutions systems for the collection, storage, processing, reporting, and analysis of student data and information relating to the student journey, from course enrollment to graduation. The Records Officer is also responsible for providing professional management and administrative support for operations and processes with the area of student records, as well as for providing high quality professional services to students, staff and external stakeholders.  

Essential Responsibilities:

• Code applications for graduation


• Pull student files for prospective graduates


• Advises non-degree students


• Evaluate credit from this and other institutions, review and update current evaluations for students who have applied for graduation to determine if all academic and non-academic requirements will be fulfilled. 
  


• Records credit for freshman, including AP credit and scholar credit. 


• Assist with registration on new students


• Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining the processes and procedures and procedures which ensure completeness and accuracy of student record data


• Ensures that all student record information recorded is accurate and reliable and that procedures which are followed in accordance with national legislation, audit requirements, policies and guidelines


• Records Military and CLEP credits 


• Processes student petitions and course repeat


• Supports, advises, guides and trains staff generally on student record data process
  


• Serves as Notary


• other duties assigned as needed

Experience and Education: 

Bachelor's degree in related field required

1 year of experience in related field required
