Student Worker (Food Services) (Student Only)

Description

The Student Worker provides supervised, temporary center support to a designated department to enhance the development of employability and independent living skills. 

Essential Functions

1. Remove dishes, wipe tables, position chairs, and remove floor debris.

2. Perform dishwasher operations and general cleaning and sanitation.

3. Assist as required in light food preparation, stocking supplies, and deliveries.

4. Remove trash.

5. Consistently model the program’s Career Success Standards

6. Shadow Food Services staff to learn additional food service-related skills 

7. Attend required training as assigned.

8. Promote a harassment-free environment.

9. Adhere to and model Strategix servant leadership culture values: Honor Others, Inspire Vision, Choose Integrity, People First, Balance Focus with Flexibility, Serve with Humility, and Innovate and Disrupt.

10. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum

Must be 18 years of age or older. Good reading, math, verbal, and written communication skills. Technical training and general knowledge of food services/culinary arts; friendly demeanor; willingness to assist staff and peers; responds well to authority; willingness to become ServSafe certified
