Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sub Arc welder to join our client’s team. The Sub Arc welder will be responsible for precision welding operations in a manufacturing environment, specializing in submerged arc welding (SAW). As a Sub Arc, you will fabricate and repair metal components, interpret blueprints, and ensure all welds meet strict quality and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform submerged arc welding (SAW) on steel, stainless steel, and alloys according to project specifications
• Operate and maintain SAW welding equipment, including setup and calibration
• Select and use appropriate filler materials and fluxes for each job
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute accurate welds
• Conduct inspections to ensure weld quality and compliance with specifications
• Follow all safety and company protocols for welding operations
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment
• Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain productivity

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sub Arc Welder or in submerged arc welding (SAW)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedures
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, filler materials, and fluxes
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and PPE requirements
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
