Subsitute and Support Teacher at Gateway Middle School - 2025-2026

Gateway Middle School is committed to helping each student – regardless of learning style or previous academic achievement – learn the skills, habits and knowledge necessary for success in college and beyond. Foundational to our approach is a commitment to anti-racist practices that address white supremacy in our society and in our institutions.

Support & Substitute Teacher Responsibilities Include:

• Provide support and/or coverage for classes around the school


• Bring a mission-consistent, warm demander approach to each environment


• Build relationships with students and staff


• This is a full time salaried position

Qualifications:

• Commitment to Gateway's mission, including a desire to work with a diverse student body


• Desire to be part of building the larger school culture and community


• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and parents


• Current California substitute teaching permit, or eligibility to receive one


• Bilingual and BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

• Salary range begins at $52,000 plus full benefits, 10-month schedule
