Substance Abuse Counselor for a Federally Funded Youth Center located in Brooklyn, NY

OPPORTUNITY:

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking to contract with a Substance Abuse Counselor for a Federal supported client in Brooklyn, NY 11205

DESCRIPTION:

Responsible to develop and facilitate the Center’s alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention program. Educates and counsels students to reduce and prevent drug-related separations from the program. Develops individualized case management plans to enhance student retention and success. Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with all HIPAA laws.

20 hours per week or 3 days out of the normal work week. The facility is open Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

The students ages are 16-24.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school preferred. A minimum of one year experience in drug/alcohol counseling or related field required. Valid In-State Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling/Prevention required.

Required license or certification: CADC

Required experience: Counseling: 1 year
