Substance Use Counselor – Monarch Lincoln Program (Full-Time, On-Site)

Location: Lincoln, IL

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Start Date: September 1, 2025

Salary: $47,000 – $55,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications)

Position Overview:

Youth Outreach Services (YOS) is hiring a Substance Use Counselor for our Monarch Lincoln Program under the Juvenile Justice division. This full-time, on-site role supports youth involved in the justice system by providing trauma-informed individual and group counseling.

  Conduct clinical intakes and assessments

  Provide individual and group counseling sessions

  
  
• 
  

  Develop and maintain treatment plans and clinical documentation

  
  
• 
  

  Coordinate case management and post-release planning

  
  
• 
  

  Participate in internal supervision, team meetings, and quality improvement efforts

  
  
• 
  

  Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support youth outcomes

  
  
• 
  

  Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards

  
  

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field

  
  


• 
  

  CADC preferred; required within two years of employment

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with youth in residential, psychiatric, or justice-involved settings

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of addiction treatment, the Illinois DJJ system, and DASA regulations

  
  


• 
  

  Valid Illinois driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and within a team environment
