Description

Lead with Compassion. Supervise with Purpose. Deliver Care Beyond Clinical Walls.

Volunteers of America Eastern Washington is seeking a licensed SUDP Supervisor to guide a team of compassionate professionals delivering trauma-informed, community-based substance use disorder services. This position plays a key leadership role in programs that serve individuals experiencing housing instability, co-occurring disorders, and complex social needs, outside the limits of traditional clinic settings.

We believe in meeting people where they are and breaking down barriers to care. If you're a licensed clinician who thrives in flexible, field-based environments and is passionate about mentoring others, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision to SUDPs, SUDPTs, peer support staff, and interns in accordance with state licensing and supervision requirements.
  • Review and co-sign documentation to support licensure and Medicaid compliance.
  • Lead regular team supervision, training, and professional development.
  • Maintain a small caseload and provide direct services including assessments, treatment planning, and counseling.
  • Ensure clinical documentation meets regulatory and internal quality standards.
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external providers for integrated care.
  • Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide consultation and support during client crises.
  • Assist with staff evaluations and performance coaching.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) license in Washington State.
  • Qualified to provide clinical supervision per Washington State requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Two or more years of experience delivering substance use disorder treatment.
  • At least one year of supervisory or clinical leadership experience.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
  • Valid WA driver’s license and ability to pass background and driving checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising peer support or integrated care teams.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid documentation and quality standards.

Why Join VOA?

  • Deliver care beyond clinic walls in a community-based setting.
  • Be part of a mission-driven, inclusive organization.
  • Support vulnerable populations through leadership and mentorship.
  • Flexible work environment with meaningful impact.
  • Opportunity for professional growth in a collaborative team.
