Job Description - Substance Use Disorder Professional Supervisor (SUDP)

Full-time

Description

Lead with Compassion. Supervise with Purpose. Transform Lives Outside the Clinic.
Join a mission-driven team redefining care.

Volunteers of America Eastern Washington is seeking a Licensed SUDP Supervisor to lead a passionate, trauma-informed team delivering substance use disorder treatment in the community — not just within four walls.

This is more than a supervisory role — it's a chance to mentor, innovate, and make a real difference in the lives of individuals navigating housing instability, co-occurring disorders, and complex life challenges. If you’re a licensed clinician who thrives in flexible, field-based settings and is inspired by mentorship, compassion, and equity in care, this could be your next step.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Mentor: Supervise SUDPs, SUDPTs, peer staff, and interns with a focus on trauma-informed, strengths-based care.

  • Ensure Quality & Compliance: Review documentation, co-sign as needed and uphold Medicaid and licensure standards.

  • Support Growth: Conduct regular team supervision, training, and professional development.

  • Deliver Care: Maintain a small caseload to stay connected with clients and clinical work.

  • Collaborate for Impact: Partner with internal teams and external providers for integrated care.

  • Shape the Future: Support onboarding, coach staff, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.

What You Bring

  • Licensed SUDP in Washington State

  • Qualified Supervisor Status under WA State regulations

  • Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 1+ years of direct clinical experience in substance use treatment

  • 1+ year in a supervisory or clinical leadership role

  • Experience with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and co-occurring disorders

  • Strong documentation and EHR skills

  • Valid WA driver's license and clean background/driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience with peer support or integrated care teams

  • Familiarity with Medicaid documentation and quality standards

Why Join VOA?

  • Deliver care where it’s needed most — in homes, shelters, and community spaces

  • Be part of a values-driven, inclusive organization

  • Empower others through mentorship and leadership

  • Work with flexibility and purpose

  • Grow professionally in a collaborative, supportive environment.  Apply today to bring your compassion, leadership, and clinical expertise where it matters most.
