Substitute Bus Driver

PART-TIME SUBSTITUTE BUS DRIVER

GLOW Academy in Wilmington is seeking experienced bus driver substitutes with their CDL and S and P endorsements for the 2024-2025 school year. GLOW is an all-girls Public Charter School serving grades 6-12.

Position Details:

• Reports To: Transportation Coordinator


• Compensation: Based off of FY 2024-25 NHC Bus Hourly Pay Schedule 
  
  
  
  • Current Pay Schedule Range: $18.50 - $23.10 per hour
  
  
  
  

Duties and Expectations:

• Transport children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons on an as needed basis.  


• Verify permissions for children who ride home with friends.


• Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times.


• Obey all traffic laws.


• Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route.


• Ensure safety of all students.


• Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required.


• CPR a plus!

Requirements:

• CDL - Class B with Passenger and School Endorsements


• Background Check


• Pre-Employment Drug Screen 

Schedule:

• Morning: Approximately 6:30am - 9:00am


• Afternoon: Approximately 3:30pm - 5:00pm
