Substitute Coordinator (part-time up to 19 hours a week) - Generous Compensation

Receives notifications from staff regarding absence requests to include days/times of absences and what type of leave staff person is using; responds to phone calls and texts regarding call offs  and assignments.  Secures subs for absences.  Informs Support Instructors regarding daily assignments.  Makes arrangements for subs through a temporary staffing agency. 

Problem solves staffing shortages: devises and implements solutions when there are not enough subs, communicating with Associate Directors regarding problems and solutions. Completes onboarding for subs; takes lead with training for new subs regarding the ECE as a whole, sub expectations, and basic early childhood education practice.   Participates in interviews for subs.   Makes recommendations to Director/Associate Directors for selection of subs.  

Communicates daily sub coverage plan to center secretaries by 7:30am. 

Remains familiar with the different classroom structures: number of children, which days children attend each classroom, which days specialists are in the rooms, start and end times for each session (half and full day).

Performs other related duties as assigned.
