Substitute School Nurse

Ontario Christian School is seeking a Substitute School Nurse to provide compassionate care for elementary and middle school students when our school nurse is absent. This as-needed position supports a safe and healthy school environment by providing basic medical care and first aid, administering authorized medications and treatments, and responding calmly to illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. The Substitute School Nurse will follow established student care plans and school health procedures, maintain accurate and confidential health records, and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school administration.

Qualified candidates must hold a current California Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license, current CPR and First Aid certifications.  Candidates should have one to three years of experience working with school-age children, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment while caring for students with a variety of health needs.  Relevant school nurse training and experience in a school setting is a plus.
